CLAYTON 鈥 The chair of the 最新杏吧原创 County Council on Tuesday blamed the county鈥檚 top boss for holding up more than two dozen projects, a few days after his administration blamed the council.
Chair Shalonda Webb said Page鈥檚 administration hasn鈥檛 shared details on proposed changes to the county鈥檚 Minority and Women Owned Business policies. The changes are too important to act on without knowing their full implications, Webb said.
鈥淚 will not be bullied,鈥 she said.
Webb said she won鈥檛 advance a bill approving a change to how the county certifies minority contractors until she has more details, she added. She said there鈥檚 another bill that would change two county laws, Chapters 107 and 113, that she believes is related to this issue. But she hasn鈥檛 seen that bill yet.

Page鈥檚 administration is willing to provide any information the chair is seeking, said Doug Moore, a spokesman for the county executive.
鈥淚t remains unclear what information she needs,鈥 Moore said.
Page鈥檚 director of administration said 32 projects have stalled because the council has failed to act on the changes.
The projects include new playgrounds in Castle Point and Queeny Park, supplies for the county animal shelter and upgrading fire sprinklers at the jail, according to a letter dated Friday from county administration director Rodney Gee to council members.
Earlier this year, the county was forced to change how it certifies Minority and Women Owned Businesses. The county previously worked with 最新杏吧原创 Lambert International Airport to certify those businesses. But the county decided to end that longtime arrangement earlier this year, as did 最新杏吧原创 officials.
