After years of doctor visits for her Parkinson's disease and a 2025 breast cancer diagnosis that has prompted multiple surgeries, appointments and treatments, Angela Salvador had applied for financial assistance with her medical bills before.

The fund was started with a $10 million contribution from sports executive and philanthropist Carolyn Kindle.聽
