Edwardsville senior righthanded pitcher Riley Nelson is the All-Metro spring softball player of the year. Nelson had a 19-4 record with a 1.12 ERA in helping the Tigers reach a Class 4A sectional final. She struck out 214 batters in 143 innings, almost 10.5 per contest.
