Missouri's Class 4 and Class 3 boys wrestling state tournament is set for Friday and Saturday at Mizzou Arena.

The Missouri boys wrestling tournament takes place this week at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
Missouri's boys wrestling state tournaments start with Class 1 and 2 events Wednesday and Thursday, followed by Class 3 and 4 on Friday and Saturday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
The Illinois boys wrestling individual state tournament wrapped up Saturday in Champaign.
"We came in knowing that if we wrestled the way we expected, we could win it,'' CBC coach Jack Flynn said.Â
Championship matches are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday and start at the 215-pound weight class.
Mascoutah coach Cole Witzig said: "He's a student of the sport and has a strong wrestling IQ, something you don't see a ton with guys at this level."
Area qualifiers and schedule for the Illinois boys wrestling individual state tournament Thursday through Saturday at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
"My only goal right now is to win that state title,'' Roxana High wrestler Lyndon Thies said.
"It's the first big win of my coaching career and having it come here is an awesome feeling,'' said CBC coach Jack Flynn, a Francis Howell graduate.
"Carter never stops working, and that's a key to the success he's had and to his future," Lancers coach Sam Ritchie said.
"Mike wrestled with a lot of passion and came away with a great win," SLUH coach Espen Conley said.
"Roman's success speaks to his durability and to his trust in the process,'' Edwardsville coach Eric Pretto said.
"I've been working hard, trying to do everything I can to give myself a shot at finishing with a state championship," Deacon Moran said.

CBC coach Jack Flynn said: "To do what we did, we knew our guys would have to wrestle well and that's exactly what they did."
"I'm proud of the kids and the job they did,'' said Fort Zumwalt West coach Raymond Harris.

The 2025 Post-Dispatch All-Metro winter series continues with boys wrestling.
Belleville East junior Jonathan Rulo is the All-Metro boys wrestler of the year. Rulo became East's first boys wrestling state champion in February.
Hillsboro and Whitfield finished second and third in the Class 3 boys wrestling state tournament team standings.
Wyatt Dannegger said: "This year, I went into every match expecting to win and I was able to accomplish that goal."
