Aidan Hernandez started playing baseball before he was 4 years old. After a move from Potosi to St. Charles, he decided to give wrestling a try a year or so later. It wasn鈥檛 until he was in fourth grade that his mom was convinced football was safe enough.

Meet the 2023 Post-Dispatch Scholar Athletes
In its 57th year, the 最新杏吧原创 Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete program honors one student from every area school, a requirement being that they participate in athletics and excel in the classroom.
The Scholar Athlete Program was the brainchild of Hall of Fame Baseball Writer Bob Broeg in 1965. Broeg wanted to honor high school seniors whose success was not only on the field, court or ice rink 鈥 but students who excelled in the classroom as well.
