COLUMBIA, Mo. — Saturday’s game between Missouri and Texas A&M is the rare matchup between Southeastern Conference-designated annual opponents in which neither fanbase has much trash to talk.
Saturday’s 11 a.m. kickoff between the Tigers and Aggies marks the third year in a row they’ve played each other, and they’ll meet for the next three seasons as well after the SEC matched up its two 2012 additions from the Big 12 as annual opponents.
How to watch Mizzou Tigers football vs. Texas A&M: TV, live stream, game time
A week after one of the biggest wins in Eli Drinwitz's tenure as coach, Mizzou stays home and faces another difficult test from a Texas A&M team that may be a bit better than it appears at first glance.
Mizzou (4-1 overall, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) routed then-No. 8 Florida on Saturday in Columbia, which moved the Tigers up to No. 14 in the latest Associated Press poll, the program's best ranking in two years.
Worthy: Mizzou must keep Austin Simmons playing ‘fast and free’ to reach its potential
Any person claiming they knew Missouri would dominate football games with the passing game this season absolutely qualifies as a pathological liar. Don’t trust that person. Don’t believe a word that rolls off their tongue.
Even the most hopeful and delusional Mizzou followers couldn’t foresee the transformation before the season began, but it’s clear now that the team goes as quarterback Austin Simmons goes. The past two games should’ve solidified that in everyone’s mind.

Ask Hoff: How many of Mizzou's defensive players will miss Texas A&M matchup?
COLUMBIA, Mo. — What a difference a week can make for the feeling around a college football team. There's much more positivity now around the Missouri Tigers after beating Florida than there was in the wake of the Mississippi State defeat.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — What if the identity of Missouri’s run game is no longer the outside zone?
For essentially all of Eli Drinkwitz’s tenure as the Tigers’ coach, the outside zone has been the MU offense’s schematic sustenance. It’s been one of the givens with the systems run here, whether called by Drinkwitz or someone else.

Mizzou's next challenge: Avoid big-win hangovers afflicting SEC teams
COLUMBIA, Mo. — If the saying that what goes around comes around applies to the Southeastern Conference, then the Missouri Tigers need to be on high alert this week.
Mizzou welcomed Florida to Columbia with humble pie on Saturday but is now at risk of being force-fed the same dish by Texas A&M this weekend.
