T.O. Barrett's transfer further subverts Mizzou's recruit-and-develop approach
COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 Within minutes Monday night, there were two informative developments in college basketball. One was at a national level, one at a local level.
Right around 7:49 p.m., Michigan tipped off the national championship game (and went on to win it) with a starting lineup consisting entirely of transfers. Four of the title-winning Wolverines鈥 starters were in their first year with the school, and all of their starters had begun their careers elsewhere.

Mizzou men's basketball starting point guard T.O. Barrett will enter transfer portal
COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 Missouri men's basketball point guard T.O. Barrett will enter the transfer portal, he announced Monday, opening a hole in the Tigers backcourt.
Barrett and Anthony Robinson II, who split starts at point guard this past season, are both entering the transfer portal. Barrett started the final 14 games of the season.

COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 Five Missouri women's basketball players entered the transfer portal when it opened early Monday, freeing up roster spots and adding flexibility for coach Kellie Harper as she prepares for her second season with the program.
The list of departing players includes two starters and three unsurprising exits: guard Shannon Dowell, guard Chloe Sotell, guard Lisa Thompson, forward Hannah Linthacum and forward Ma'Riya Vincent have all officially entered the transfer portal.
