The property is acquired, the contractor is mobilized and a formal groundbreaking is on tap for Ikea's store in 最新杏吧原创.
鈥淲e have secured all the property and appropriate easements,鈥 Joseph Roth, an Ikea spokesman, said today.
With the 21-acre store site in hand, contractor S.M. Wilson & Co. is preparing to get underway with construction. Roth says the groundbreaking ceremony will be held sometime late this month.
Site work at Forest Park and Vandeventer avenues already is underway. Next up is some additional building demolition, closure of part of Duncan Avenue and relocation of a big sewer聽beneath the site.
Roth said the project remains on schedule for a store opening next summer. Construction will proceed in phases, said Roth, adding that Laclede Gas will continue to operate on part of the store site for about nine more months.
