The NASCAR Chase weekend 鈥 one of the Midwest鈥檚 largest race weekend festivals 鈥 returns Sept. 11 to 13 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Tickets are now available, starting at $69 for a single-day Sunday ticket and $98 for two-day weekend packages.
Admission includes access to the fifth annual Confluence Music Festival midway and post-race concerts, which is built into the race schedule, combining NASCAR Chase racing with live entertainment across multiple stages. Highlights include fan experiences in the Enterprise Infield Fan Zone, interactive exhibits, family activities and driver appearances. An Enterprise Infield Fan Zone upgrade is required for access to the fan zone and pre-race infield concerts.
Race weekend schedule
The NASCAR weekend excitement begins at with the inaugural聽Cup Time STL Short Track Classic on Friday, Sept. 11, bringing grassroots racing and local short-track traditions into the spotlight. The event serves as the official kickoff to a full slate of NASCAR festivities in the region, giving fans an opportunity to experience competitive racing action and celebrate the strong connection between NASCAR鈥檚 national stage and the local tracks that helped build the sport.
Join the action on Friday, Sept. 11, as the hauler parade rolls through Southern Illinois from 3 to 4 p.m., with the full route available on WWTR social channels. Then head to Sports & Social as NASCAR takes over for a themed pop-up bar from 4 to 11 p.m., where drivers will guest bartend from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a fan Q&A session through 7:15 p.m. Enjoy themed cocktails at this can鈥檛 miss weekend kick off.
Iconic rapper Busta Rhymes, hip-hop duo Ying Yang Twins and a special guest will perform on Saturday, Sept. 12, prior to the Nu Way 225 Powered by Bobcat and Sauced by Blues Hog NASCAR O鈥橰eilly Auto Parts Series Chase race, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The race serves as the second stop in the NASCAR Chase.
Rising singer-songwriter Stella Lefty will perform at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13 on the Enjoy Illinois Turn 4 stage, which does not require an Enterprise Infield聽Fan Zone upgrade. Lefty is聽an Illinois native聽singer-songwriter carving out a name with emotionally sharp songwriting and a sound that seamlessly blends pop sensibility with country storytelling. Her breakout single 鈥淭hinking 鈥榖out You鈥 sparked major online traction and set the stage for follow-up 鈥淏oston,鈥 which has now surpassed 170 million global streams and is currently sitting at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. She now boasts more than 340 million global artist streams.
Grammy Award-winning country group Old Dominion will headline following the conclusion of the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series Chase event, which begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. The race stakes are high as it鈥檚 a critical second race in the 10-race NASCAR Cup Series Chase, where the top 16 drivers battle for the championship. The concert will immediately follow the race activities.
Throughout the weekend, fans can also enjoy performances from Chris Janson, Dasha, Tim Dugger, Dr. Zhivegas and over 30 local performers.
How to purchase tickets
Tickets for the weekend festivities may be purchased directly through the Tixr website or by calling the WWTR ticket office at 618.215.8888 (ext. 1). The Enterprise Infield Fan Zone upgrade and the NASCAR VIP experience can be added to standard admission for close-up access. Confluence Music Festival upgrade packages include the Enterprise Infield Fan Zone access for Sunday鈥檚 pre-race Chris Janson concert, driver introductions and celebrity red carpet walk. Gate guidelines
In an effort to keep guests safe and provide an enjoyable experience, the raceway enforces the following guidelines:
- All guests must have a grandstand ticket or proper credential, regardless of age.
- Smoking is prohibited in the grandstands, though designated smoking areas are available outside the midway.
- Clear bags are encouraged to expedite entry.
- Soft-sided coolers (14x14x14) are permitted, but guests may need to open it for inspection.
- Glass and alcohol are prohibited.
- Guests may also bring one backpack or purse per person in addition to the cooler.
Race fans are encouraged to arrive several hours before green flag time to secure a parking spot and catch the pre-race concerts. Prepay parking is available online; daily general parking lots are cash or card at the gate, based on availability.
Portable radios or scanners are useful to bring for anyone wanting to listen to the track PA system and driver frequencies broadcast on 106.7 FM.
