In this podcast episode, Confluence Academies’ community partner Ready Readers is spotlighted. The ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ nonprofit works to inspire a love of reading and strengthen early literacy.
Ready Readers brings its mission to life through classroom read-alouds, high-quality books, educator support and family engagement. The organization partners with early childhood centers and elementary schools throughout the region.
Maggie Strube, Lauren Campbell and Erin Fisher of Ready Readers explain in the episode how trained volunteers work closely with educators and families to build strong reading foundations.
At the heart of the organization’s mission is a simple but powerful approach. Children participate in consistent, joyful read-aloud experiences featuring culturally responsive books that reflect the students and communities Ready Readers serves.
These everyday moments can make a lasting difference. They help children develop essential literacy skills while addressing opportunity gaps early.
Ready Readers currently reaches more than 20,000 children. The organization aims to serve 32,000 young learners by 2032. Reaching that goal will require continued community support, volunteer engagement and strong partnerships across ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´.
Together, these efforts help more children develop the confidence, skills and imagination that grow from strong early literacy experiences.
