ST. LOUIS — A teenager was in critical condition Sunday after he was shot while riding in a car on Interstate 55 late Saturday, police said.Â
The boy, 16, was shot about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on I-55 near Loughborough Avenue, police said.Â
His father told police he was driving on the interstate when someone shot into his SUV, police said. The father drove to Walnut and Fourth streets downtown, where police and emergency medical technicians met him.Â
Police did not immediately release more details Sunday. Â
